Hop character fades over time which is why you may have heard that when it come to IPA's, the fresher the better - on Friday 9/06 we harvested fresh whole cone hops from Buck Creek Hops in Solon and then immediately brewed a beer with them. The moment this beer finishes we're putting it in a keg and running that keg to six bars across Iowa where they're immediately tapping it. All in under 2 weeks! It doesn't get any fresher than this.
